Vic Beasley to miss at least a month with hamstring injury

The Atlanta Falcons could possibly be without it’s best pass rusher Vic Beasley. Last night against the Packers, Beasley got twisted up in awkward position. At first glance it looked a lot worse than I thought.

Beasley was on the ground grabbing at his hamstring. He then walked off the field with a trainer, definitely looked frustrated.

According to several sources Vic Beasley is expected to miss the next month with a slight hamstring tear.

What are your thoughts Falcons Fam?

Duke Riley Alex Mack limited at practice

Week one injury report is out, and one key player is on the list. Alex Mack was limited in practice on Wednesday.

Falcons can’t afford to have Mack out for any amount of time. Especially with a first year starter right guard Wes Schweitzer still adjusting to the speed of the game. But it’s not all doom and gloom. Mack wasn’t completely held out of Wednesday’s practice. So that’s a good sign.

Falcons Injury list

Falcons listed Mack with a back injury.

Linebacker Duke Riley was also listed as limited with a knee injury.

Brian Hill limited with the ankle injury.

Kemal Ishmael was limited with a hamstring injury.

Eric Saubert Hamstring

Austin Pasztor is on the list with chest injury.

Final Thoughts – With Packers coming into Mercedes Benz Stadium, Falcons cannot afford to have Alex Mack out. Packers defensive line looked impressive in their win against Seattle Seahawks.

The way Wes Schweitzer played against Bears DT Akiem Hicks. I think most of you would agree.

Watch: Brooks Reed game clinching sack

What’s good Falcons Fam!

As you all saw Sunday against the Bears, Brooks Reed an AWESOME game. Finished the game with 5 tackles 2 sacks, one coming in the closing moments of the game.

I like to get down to the nitty-gritty. Defensive plays like this just don’t happen out of chance. It takes a total team effort in order to get the win.

In this video DJ Shockley breaks down Reed’s game clinching sack.

Falcons Takk McKinley shuts down social media accounts

For those who were just getting accustomed to seeing Takk McKinley on social media. You’re going to have to wait until after the season.

Why? According to Vaughn McClure Falcons defensive lineman has deactivated his social media accounts to focus on the upcoming 2017 season.

You what? I’m all for it.

The Falcons are loaded on the defensive line. Takk is listed as the 3rd defensive end on the depth chart. Although there’s will be plenty of chances for him to make an impact during the season.

Dan Quinn wants Takk to earn his spot in the rotation.

How long will it be before McKinley becomes a starter?

I’m not sure…. What are your thoughts on Takk shutting down all of his social media accounts?

Falcons Add LB Jordan Tripp to the 53 man roster

Wes Schweitzer on winning the starting right guard job

As many of you may know Dan Quinn has named Wes Schweitzer starting right guard after a grueling battle with Ben Garland. What was the deciding factor between the two guards?

Consistency says Quinn

It was so close as we went through the whole thing,” Quinn said. “[We saw] more consistency at times. If you went just solely on the games you really could have battled for either way. It [was] as close a battle as I’ve seen at a position.”

Here’s what the second year guard out of San Jose State had to say about winning the starting job.

“Whatever was asked to be my role I would have taken it and run with it,” Schweitzer said of his reaction to being named the starter. “I’m just happy to be here and work hard every day.”
