What should the Falcons do with the 17th Pick?

With cornerback Jalen Collins being suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the 2016 season. Falcons are down to 3 cornerbacks who saw action last year. Desmond Trufant, Robert Alford and Akeem King.

Head Coach Dan Quinn said in a statement,

“We are disappointed to hear the news regarding Jalen today,” coach Dan Quinn said in a statement released by the team. “I have already spoken to Jalen about this, and I have no doubt this will be something that he will learn from.”

The Falcons have only 5 picks in this months draft, and are in desperate need of a pass rusher to go along with Vic Beasley. They have other pressing needs including a linebacker that’s capable of covering tight ends. A safety that will take over for former pro bowl safety, now released William Moore.

What will should they do? If the Falcons can find a way to trade the 17th overall pick. Guys like Noah Spence, Emanuel Ogbah, Kevin Dodd, Yannick Ngakoue, and Leonard Floyd (HUGE IF) could be available.

Should the Falcons trade down to get more picks? Or put at 17 and sign a veteran corners like Leon Hall, Antonio Cromartie or Walter Thurmond…
